BRIARCLIFF, N.Y.—Senior Andrea Wilson
(North Kingston, R.I.) tallied the lone goal for the Southern New
Hampshire University women's soccer team to lead the Penmen to a
1-0 win against Pace University on Tuesday afternoon. With
the win, the Penmen better their record to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in
the Northeast-10 Conference, while the loss drops the host Setters
to 2-5 overall and 0-5 in NE-10 play.
Wilson scored in the 68th minute off an assist from
teammate Emily Donahue
(Bristol, R.I.). The goal marked the first in Wilson's career
with the Penmen.
Maggie
Weldon (Manchester, N.H.) recorded three saves en
route to her second-straight shutout. Courtany Hagen took the
loss in net for the Setters and registered 11 saves as
the Penmen outshot the Setters 27-4.
Southern New Hampshire will continue its three-game road streak
on Saturday, traveling to UMass Lowell for a 1:00 p.m. Northeast-10
matchup.
