MANCHESTER, N.H. - Southern New Hampshire University closed out its men's tennis fall season with a 9-0 win over Franklin Pierce University in Northeast-10 action Tuesday afternoon. The Penmen won their third straight to improve to 3-1 and 3-0 in the league, while the Ravens are now 1-3 and 0-3 in NE-10 competition.
SNHU took a 3-0 lead after doubles following a pair of closely-contested matches. At No. 1 doubles, Juan Arango-Campo (Armenia Quindio, Colombia) and Alex Mukdaprakorn (Hartford, Conn.) rallied from an early deficit to post an 8-5 victory over FPU's Ben Brewer and Patrick Gilhuly. At third doubles, John Niland (Cheshire, Conn.) and Jared Wright (Norwell, Mass.) took down an 8-6 triumph over Keith Bujak and Tyler Colombo.
Southern New Hampshire has now won 12 straight Northeast-10 regular season matches dating back to last season.
