NEW LONDON, N.H. –Mitchell Dobek (Westfield, Mass.) posted singles and doubles victories to lead Southern New Hampshire University to a 6-3 Northeast-10 men's tennis victory over Adelphi University at Mountainside Racquet Club Saturday afternoon. The Penmen, who are ranked No. 6 regionally, improved to 6-5 and 6-1 in the NE-10, while the Panthers, ranked 10th, are now 2-9 and 2-3 in the league.
Dobek was a 7-5, 6-1 winner at No. 1 singles and teamed with Jared Wright (Norwell, Mass.) for an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles. Juan Arango-Campo (Armenia Quindio, Colombia) was a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 winner at No. 2 singles, while Alex Mukdaprakorn (Hartford, Conn.) was a 6-2, 6-4 winner at third singles. John Niland (Cheshire, Conn.) was an 8-3 victor at No. 6 singles.
Niland and Tim Hamilton (Hampton, N.H.) were 8-4 winners at third doubles.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action Tuesday when it travels to Saint Michael's College for a 3:30 match.
