MANCHESTER, N.H.—Brittany Barry scored twice to lead the visiting No. 1 College of Saint Rose to a 3-1 win over the Southern New Hampshire University Penmen in Northeast-10 Conference women's soccer action from Larkin Field on Sunday afternoon.  With the loss, the Penmen fall to 2-2-0 overall and 1-2-0 in NE-10 action, while the win keeps the Golden Knights undefeated at 4-0-1 overall and 2-0-1 in league play. 

After a scoreless first half in which the Penmen narrowly outshot the visiting Golden Knights 8-7, Barry would open scoring in the 55^th minute of the game after Carmelina Puopolo passed the ball back to her, setting her up for the goal from 10 yards out.  Eight minutes later, Barry would score again after collecting the ball after it bounced off a SNHU defender following a Saint Rose corner kick. 

In the 76^th minute, Saint Rose would take the 3-0 advantage as Laura Taylor collected the rebound from Brittany Godin's shot and fired it just inside the right post. 

SNHU would halt Saint Rose's shutout attempt with 26 seconds remaining in the game as Danielle Quinlan (North Andover, Mass.) headed in a SNHU corner kick taken by Emily Donahue (Bristol, R.I.). 

Maggie Weldon (Manchester, N.H.) posted six saves in goal for the Penmen.  Saint Rose goalkeeper Jessica Gerski posted nine saves en route to the win.  The Penmen wrapped up the game with a 19-16 shot advantage. 

Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to the University of Bridgeport for a 6:00 p.m. non-conference matchup.
