Box Score COLCHESTER, Vt. – Southern New Hampshire University and Saint Michael's College battled to a 1-1 Northeast-10 women's soccer tie Wednesday afternoon. The Penmen extended their unbeaten streak to five games and are now 8-3-2 and 6-3-2 in the NE-10, while the Purple Knights are 2-8-2 and 2-6-2 in the league.
Saint Michael's took a 1-0 lead 3:10 into the game when Olivia Biron scored her second goal of the season. The Penmen netted the equalizer in the 26th minute when Lexxi Carroll (Plainville, Conn.) collected a loose ball and fired from 20 yards, getting a ball over Saint Michael's keeper Aubrey Ouellet.
SNHU keeper Maggie Weldon (Manchester, N.H.) made two saves in goal while Ouellet made seven stops. The Penmen outshot the Purple Knights 18-9 on the afternoon.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action Saturday afternoon when it travels to Pace University for a noon contest.
