Box Score BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. – Southern New Hampshire University scored a goal in each half en route to a 2-0 Northeast-10 women's soccer triumph over Pace University Saturday afternoon. The Penmen, who are now unbeaten in their last six contests (5-0-1), improve to 9-3-2 overall and 7-3-2 in the NE-10, while the Setters are now 5-6-3 and 5-5-1 in the league.
SNHU scored 8:35 into the contest when Ashley Jaskula (Palmer, Mass.) scored her sixth goal of the season, with Kaleigh Roberge (Manchester, N.H.) getting credit for an assist. Morgan Branco (Norton, Mass.) added an insurance goal with her unassisted tally in the 78th minute. It marked the second goal of the season for the freshman.
Maggie Weldon (Manchester, N.H.) turned aside three shots en route to her third shutout of the season, while Setter keeper Courtany Hagen made seven saves. The Penmen outshot Pace 13-11 on the afternoon.
Southern New Hampshire returns home Tuesday night when it hosts crosstown rival Saint Anselm College for a 7:00 contest at Larkin Field.
