WINCHENDON, Mass.—Brian Troy (Ashburnham, Mass.) notched his third goal of the season with 90 seconds remaining in regulation to lead the Southern New Hampshire University ice hockey team to a 3-2 win on Saturday evening in Northeast-10 Conference play.  The win snaps a 14-game winless streak for the Penmen, who improve to 2-19-1 on the season and 1-10 in NE-10 play.  The loss drops the Ravens to 5-12-4 overall and 4-5-2 in conference play.

The Penmen struck first in the game as Steven Berry (Ashburn, Va.) scored his fourth goal of the season 18:04 into the game on assists by Tyler Pascucci (North Reading, Mass.) and Craig Carbonneau (Medford, Mass.).

After a scoreless second period, the Penmen would take the 2-0 lead on a power play goal 6:07 into the final frame as Casey Goll (Winthrop, Mass.) tallied the second goal of his career on assists by Carbonneau and Berry.

The Ravens would respond with back-to-back goals to even the score at 2-2.  Brendan McCarron scored on the power play at the 10:02 mark, followed by Brandon Dennis's seventh goal of the season at the 17:37 mark.

With the clock winding down, Zach Lubinski (Hudson, N.H.) would find Troy with 1:30 remaining in regulation to lead the Penmen to victory.

SNHU goaltender Tyler Holske (Attleboro, Mass.) totaled 23 saves en route to his second victory in net on the season.  Franklin Pierce netminder Pat Dunn recorded 20 saves in net for the Ravens.

The Penmen finished 1-for-5 on the power play on the evening, while Franklin Pierce connected on two power play goals in seven attempts.
