MANCHESTER, N.H. – Bentley University posted a 7-2 Northeast-10 men's tennis victory over Southern New Hampshire University Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Falcons improved to 14-5 and 10-1 in NE-10 play, while the Penmen wrap up the regular season 10-8 and 9-2 in the league.
Despite the loss, the Penmen have earned the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Northeast-10 Tournament, and will host sixth-seeded Le Moyne College Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 in a first round contest. The winner of that match will face second-seeded Bentley, which earned a first-round bye.
In doubles, Mitch Dobek (Westfield, Mass.) and Mike Wallace (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) posted an 8-3 win at No. 1, while in singles action, Juan Arango-Campo (Armenia Quindio, Colombia) was a 6-3, 6-1 winner at No. 2.
SNHU posted a 9-0 win over Le Moyne in a match played on September 24.
