NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team suffered its first Northeast-10 setback of the season, falling to Merrimack College 6-3 Saturday afternoon. The Warriors improve to 12-7 and 8-0 in the NE-10, while the Penmen, who saw a 17-match NE-10 regular season win streak snapped, are now 9-7 and 8-1 in the league.
In doubles action, Mitch Dobek (Westfield, Mass.) and Mike Wallace (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) posted a 8-5 win at No. 1, while Juan Arango-Campo (Armenia Quindo, Colombia) and Dobek posted singles victories, with Dobek winning 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 and Arango-Campo 7-5, 7-5 at No. 2.
SNHU returns to action Tuesday afternoon when it hosts Saint Michael's College in a 3:00 Northeast-10 Conference match.
