MANCHESTER, N.H.
– Southern New Hampshire University extended its unbeaten streak to five games with a 1-0 Northeast-10 women's soccer victory over Saint Michael's College Wednesday night at Larkin Field.  The Penmen, who are 3-0-2 in their last five, improve to 6-4-3 overall and 3-3-3 in NE-10 play, while the Purple Knights remain searching for their first win on the season at 0-12 and 0-10 in the league.

SNHU scored the game's only goal 14:20 into the contest.  Freshman Trisha Luis (Lowell, Mass.) collected a ball 15 yards out and with Purple Knight keeper Aubrey Ouellet coming out, fired a shot that deflected off a defender and in for her third goal of the season.

Senior Samantha Whittier (Sutton, Mass.) posted her second straight shutout and fourth of the season for the Penmen, turning aside three shots as SNHU outshot Saint Michael's 19-4.  Ouellet played the first half in goal and made five saves before giving way to Kaylee Sullivan, who notched four stops.  The hosts also had six of the game's seven corner kicks.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action Saturday when it hosts Pace University for a 1:00 Northeast-10 contest at Larkin Field.
