Box Score MANCHESTER, N.H. – Southern New Hampshire University posted its third straight shutout with a 2-0 win over Pace University in Northeast-10 women's soccer Saturday afternoon at Larkin Field. The Penmen, who are unbeaten in their last six games (4-0-2), improved to 7-4-3 overall and 4-3-3 in NE-10 play, while the Setters are now 2-11-1 and 2-7-1 in the league.
Southern New Hampshire got on the board at the 23:09 mark of the first half. Ashley Jaskula (Palmer, Mass.) played a long right-to-left cross that drew out Pace keeper Leslie Robertson. Trisha Luis (Lowell, Mass.) made a move around Robertson and fired a 12-yarder for her fourth goal of the season.
Bethi Ledoux (Westborough, Mass.) made it 2-0 in the 56th minute. She fired a 25-yard shot that snuck inside the upper left corner for her first goal of the season.
Samantha Whittier (Sutton, Mass.) made two saves en route to her fifth shutout of the season, while Robertson made 11 saves as the Penmen outshot the Setters 25-5 on the afternoon.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action Tuesday afternoon when it travels to Saint Anselm College for a 3:30 Northeast-10 contest.
