MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team closed out the fall with a 9-0 win over Franklin Pierce University in Northeast-10 action Friday afternoon. The Penmen improve to 2-1 overall and in the league, while the Ravens are 0-5 and 0-4 in NE-10 play.
Xavier Aubron (Herouville, France) and Evan Eaton (Winchester, Mass.) faced the toughest battles of the day in singles play. Aubron was a 6-3, 6-3 winner over Chris Brewer at No. 1, while Eaton was victorious by a 6-4, 6-3 count at No. 4 against Olivier Viel. The Penmen dropped just one game in their other four singles triumphs. Peter Wylie (Cedar Grove, N.J.) was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at No. 3.
The SNHU men's tennis spring schedule will be announced this winter.
