Box Score EASTON, Mass. – Freshman Tia Woodarek's (Springville, N.Y.) first collegiate goal lifted Southern New Hampshire University to a 1-0 Northeast-10 women's soccer triumph over Stonehill College Thursday afternoon. The win marked the second straight 1-0 victory for the Penmen as they upped their record to 5-5-1 and 3-4-0 in NE-10 play, while the Skyhawks, ranked No. 5 in this week's NSCAA East Region ranking, fall to 6-3-1 and 4-2-1 in the league.
The game's lone goal came at the 15:37 mark. Alexa Poulin (Tewksbury, Mass.) sent a pass in from the right side of the box to Woodarek, who fired into the lower right corner for her first collegiate goal.
Sophomore keeper Autumn Scanlon (Waltham, Mass.) recorded three saves for her second straight shutout and fourth of the season, while Skyhawk counterpart Jamie Block also registered three stops. Stonehill held a 17-9 shot advantage and took eight corner kicks to Southern New Hampshire's three.
Southern New Hampshire is back in action on Saturday when it hosts Le Moyne College in a noon contest at Larkin Field.
