Men's Tennis Charges Past Colby-Sawyer

The Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team played its first dual match of the fall, topping Colby-Sawyer 6-3 Tuesday afternoon.

Xavier Aubron (Herouville, France) and Tiago Fernandes (Porto, Portugal) posted an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles and each posted singles victories at the top of the lineup.  Aubron was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at No. 1, while Fernandes won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2.  Adam Frey (Danville, N.H.) and Max Georgeff (Toronto, Ontario) gave SNHU a 2-1 lead after doubles with an 8-2 win at No. 3.

Georgeff and Jeremy Reichentahl (Cheshire, Conn.) won at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, respectively.

Notes:
 - SNHU had played in a pair of tournaments prior to its dual match debut Tuesday.
 - The Penmen improved to 2-0 all-time against the Chargers.

What's Next:

Southern New Hampshire opens Northeast-10 play October 15 at home against Saint Anselm College.
