CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team fell to Boston College by a 7-0 score on Friday afternoon at the Flynn Complex. The Eagles upped their record to 4-7, while the Penmen are 2-4 on the season.
Freshmen Xavier Aubron (Herouville, France) and Emerson Kelby (Oneonta, N.Y.) continued their strong doubles play, posting an 8-7 win over Jeffrey Melvin and Matt Wagner at No. 1 doubles. The duo has won all three of their doubles matches this spring, with wins over nationally-ranked NYIT and regionally-ranked District of Columbia along with the Division I Eagles.
In singles action, Aubron dropped a 7-6, 6-3 decision at No. 1, while Sebastian Martinez fell in three sets at No. 3.
Southern New Hampshire is scheduled to return to action Friday, March 27 when it hosts Saint Michael's College at 3:00 pm.
