FLUSHING, N.Y. – Queens (N.Y.) College posted an 8-1 non-conference men's tennis victory over Southern New Hampshire University Sunday at the Queens courts. The Knights upped their record to 11-3, while the Penmen are now 3-10 on the season.
The doubles tandem of Jeremy Reichentahl (Cheshire, Conn.) and Sebastian Ramirez earned SNHU's lone point, pulling out a 9-7 win at No. 1 doubles against Gabriel Mendez and Lucas Martinez. Brad Malenich (Sharon, Mass.) and Emerson Kelby (Oneonta, N.Y.) went to a tiebreak at No. 3 doubles, but fell in the tiebreaker 10-6. Kelby also dropped a tiebreaker in the first set at No. 3 singles before falling 7-6, 6-1.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action Tuesday afternoon when it hosts American International College in a 3:00 Northeast-10 match.
