Senior goalkeeper Autumn Scanlon (Waltham, Mass.) made eight saves as the Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against 17th-ranked and unbeaten Stonehill College on Wednesday afternoon at Skyhawk Field.
Southern New Hampshire had its chances as it held an 11-4 advantage in corner kicks, including 5-1 in the extra session, but managed to put just one shot on net in OT.
Junior Trisha Luis (Lowell, Mass.) tallied four of the six Penmen shots on goal.
Notes:
- SNHU comes away 1-0-1 against two-nationally ranked opponents during a three-day stretch.
- It is the third overtime match of the season for the Penmen, but the first one that made it to a second OT.
- Stonehill came in with a 6-0-0 record, outscoring its opponents 18-3 to start the season.
- Scanlon's eight-save shutout comes two days after she stopped 10 shots in a 2-1 overtime victory at the 10th-ranked University of Bridgeport.
- Southern New Hampshire held an 18-17 edge in shots, including 14-6 in the second half.
