Sophomore Andy Somerville (Medford, Mass.) tallied his fifth goal of the season, but SNHU fell 3-1 at Assumption on Saturday night.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Assumption's Michael Zampanti scored the game's first goal at 12:06 of the first period.
- Somerville's goal tied the game at 1-1 at 6:37 of the second period.
- Junior Kyle Galloway (Sugar Hill, Ga.), who scored twice in Friday's overtime loss, had an assist.
- Freshman James Nash (Hampton, N.H.) also had an assist on the goal.
- Somerville was able to blast home a rebound of Galloway's shot.
- The game-winning goal for Assumption came at 10:00 of the middle period on a goal by Dante Maribito.
- Robert Roche added a goal the Greyhounds at 18:39 of the second period.
- Senior Kurt Gutting (Weymouth, Mass.) stopped 34 of 37 shots for the Penmen.
NOTES
- Assumption outshot the Penmen 37-32, including an 11-5 advantage in the third period.
- SNHU could not cash in on four power-play opportunities. The Greyhounds failed on three tries with a man advantage.
- The Greyhounds are unbeaten in their last 13 games (9-0-3), and have a three point lead over Saint Michael's for first place in the NE10.
- The Penmen have dropped four straight games and are three points behind Franklin Pierce and Stonehill, the team's tied for third.
- The Greyhounds swept the season series from SNHU. The Penmen still lead the all-time series 38-35-5.

- There are three games remaining in the regular season for the Penmen, who will travel to Stonehill College on Tuesday, February 18.
