SNHU's modest two-game win streak was snapped by conference rival Saint Michael's College 3-0 on Friday at The Ice Den. The teams meet again on Saturday afternoon.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- The game was scoreless through two periods. SNHU goalie JT Kossakowski (Elburn, Ill.) stopped eight shots in the first period and 13 more in the second period. He finished with 29 saves on 31 shots.
- Saint Michael's took a 1-0 lead at 9:44 of the third period on a goal by Thomas Flack, who put in a rebound of a shot by Matt Egan.
- Sel Narby made it 2-0 for the Purple Knights at 18:23.
- The final goal, an empty netter, came at 18:49 by Andrew Olevitz.

- Saint Michael's outshot SNHU 32-31 for the game.
- Both teams went 0-for-3 on the power play.
- The Purple Knights have now won both games with the Penmen this season.
- With 19 points, Saint Michael's has a one-point advantage on Assumption College for first place in the NE10. Saint Anselm and SNHU are tied for third place with 14 points, but both have played three fewer games than the Purple Knights.
