Team-leading goal scorers junior Taylor Marchman (Derry, N.H.) and freshman Annemartine Christis ('S-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands) scored first-half goals to lift SNHU field hockey to a 2-1 road win at Mercy College on Thursday afternoon.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Penmen took a 1-0 lead at 1:17 of the first period. A pass from freshman Eliza Bates (Newport, N.H.) found the stick of Campbell. Campbell's shot was tipped in by Marchman.
- In the second, Christis launched a back-hand chip that found the back of the cage to put the Penmen up 2-0.
- Ally Schreck scored for the Mavericks just 23 seconds later, to cut the lead to 2-1.
- SNHU allowed Mercy only one second-half shot and held on for the win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Mavericks outshot SNHU 9-8, but the Penmen had a 4-1 advantage in the second half
- Mercy had a 10-3 advantage on penalty corners. Six of the penalty corners came consecutively at the end of the first quarter and the Penmen held without Mercy scoring.
NOTES
- SNHU won on the road for the second time this week. The Penmen earned a 2-1 victory in Springfield over AIC on Tuesday night.
- Mercy was playing for the second consecutive day, they lost 4-1 to New Haven yesterday.
- This contest was originally scheduled for Oct. 2, but rescheduled to today. The Penmen have won three of the four all-time meetings with the Mavericks.
- Marchman has now scored seven goals in her last seven games, and her eight goals top the squad by one over Christis.
