Sophomore Zachary Duboulay (St. Lucia) pulled out a win at No. 6 singles to lift the Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team to a 4-3 victory against Franklin Pierce University on Thursday afternoon at the Penmen Stadium Tennis Courts.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Duboulay outlasted Alejandro Ortiz, 7-5, 2-6, 6-3, at No. 6 singles to bring home the win.
- Graduate student Willem van Biezen (Sassenheim, Netherlands) defeated Kevin Denecheau, 6-2, 7-5, at No. 2 singles and also teamed with his brother and classmate Bas van Biezen (Sassenheim, Netherlands) to clinch the doubles point with a 7-6 (7-1) victory at No. 1 against Ortiz and Felipe Carvalho.
- Junior Fernando Torres (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) was a 6-4, 6-2 winner versus Yuval Barak at No. 5 singles. He also combined with senior Guido Janssen (Zeewolde, Netherlands) at No. 2 doubles for a 6-4 triumph over Denecheau and Ivan Bernal.

- Bas van Biezen dropped a 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) decision at No. 1 singles to Carvalho.
- Southern New Hampshire avenges a 5-1 loss at Franklin Pierce on March 30 that snapped its 47-match NE10 winning streak.
- SNHU has now captured 49 of its last 50 matches against NE10 foes, including the postseason, dating back to Oct. 15, 2015.
- The Penmen are ranked second in the ITA East Region, while the Ravens are seventh.
