Graduate student Allyson Patterson (Seekonk, Mass.) punched home a goal in the 68th minute to lead the 17th-ranked Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory against Adelphi University on Sunday afternoon at Penmen Stadium.

KEY MOMENTS
- With the game locked in a scoreless draw, Inoue sent a through-ball into the box for Patterson, who was able to get enough of a touch on it to send it over the goal line and into the left side of the net at the 67:54 mark.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The shutout for Kaplan was the second of their career.
- Adelphi 'keeper Krista Aliscio made five saves in the opening half, while Sarah Hofmeier stopped seven shots, but allowed the game winner.
- SNHU outshot the Panthers, 17-11, including 13-3 in shots on target.
- The Penmen also owned a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.

- Southern New Hampshire begins the season 3-0 for the first time since the 1997 campaign.
- Adelphi still leads in the all-time series, 17-11-2, while the teams have now split the last six meetings.
