FLUSHING, N.Y. - Freshman Jonathan Berling (Moss, Norway) and senior Fernando Torres (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) were victorious in a pair of matches Sunday to win the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Region Doubles Championship. The duo will now move on to the ITA Cup on Oct. 14-17 at the Rome (Ga.) Tennis Center at Berry College.
Berling nearly made it a clean sweep, but fell to the sixth seed from Le Moyne College, Tom Jarry, in the finals of the singles bracket.
