Lauren Conti (Schenectady, N.Y.) scored the first goal of her career, but the seventh-seeded Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team fell to second-seeded and 14th-ranked Franklin Pierce University, 3-1, in an NCAA first round matchup Friday afternoon at Sodexo Field.

- Franklin Pierce took a 1-0 lead with 14:24 remaining in the first half, as Jenna Delgado finished a Ruby Conroy service from the far corner with a one-time touch back across the goalmouth and inside the far post.
- The Ravens doubled their lead to 2-0 with a Shannon Burns strike with just 3:08 left before the break.
- The Penmen had back-to-back good scoring chances for senior Jordan Butters (Danvers, Mass.) and freshman Arianna Georgantas (W. Bridgewater, Mass.) with around 26 minutes left in regulation, but Franklin Pierce goalkeeper Emilie Fox shut down both opportunities.
- FPU countered less than two minutes later, as Salome Kerguillec found the back of the net with 24:44 to go to make it 3-0.
- SNHU made it on the board early in the 71st minute when Conti cleaned up a loose ball at the far post off a corner kick service from Butters.

- Franklin Pierce, ranked 14th in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division II Poll, leads the all-time series, 28-12-1, while the last 14 meetings are even at 7-7-0. The Ravens edged the Penmen, 1-0, at home in the regular-season meeting back on Sept. 21.
- The Penmen are now 44-19-13 (.664) over their last 76 matches dating back to the start of the 2017 campaign.
