Bernardita Diaz de Vivar (Buenos Aires, Argentina) gave the Penmen a 1-0 lead, but #7 Saint Anselm rallied for a 2-1 win over SNHU in the Northeast-10 Championship Quarterfinal on Tuesday at Grappone Stadium.

KEY MOMENTS
- A reverse chip by freshman Anne Wiersma (Velhoven, The Netherlands) about five minutes into the game was saved by Mackenzie McConnell.
- The Penmen, who did not have a penalty corner in the first half, drew three consecutive in the third quarter. Off the corner, Christis sent a pass to Diaz deVivar, who's shot found the top of the cage with 10:20 to go.
- Saint Anselm scored just 22 seconds later on a goal by Maddie Davis.
- The Hawks found the game-winner with 1:36 to play when Abbey Bevens tipped in a shot from Shelby Dunn.Â
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Hawks had a shot on goal advantage in the first half, but the contest remained scoreless.
- Overall, Saint Anselm had a 17-8 shot advantage, and 12-6 on goal.
- The Hawks had 12 penalty corners, and the Penmen had six.
NOTES
- SNHU earned the eighth-seed in the Championship with back-to-back wins over American International College and Molloy College to finish the season.
- The Penmen played close games throughout the season. This was the 14th time (in 19 games) they played a one-goal game.Â
- SNHU played in the Northeast-10 Championship for the third time, and the first since 2019 when they fell to Saint Anselm in the Finals.Â
- Saint Anselm earns the two bonus Queen City Cup points, the Penmen have a 12-9 lead.
- Final statistics show Christis leading the Penmen in scoring with a team-high six goals and 12 assists for 18 points. Sophomore Eliza Bates (Newport, N.H.) finished 5-3-13, and Diaz de Vivar would up 5-2-12.
