George Thurston (Plymouth, Mass.) tallied late, but SNHU dropped a 7-2 decision at Saint Michael's College on Friday night at Cairns Arena.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Penmen connected on their first power-play of the contest at 9:16 of the first. Clear took a pass from Aldrich and fired a shot that was tipped in by DiMambro for a 1-0 lead.
- Saint Michael's drew even at 4:12 of the second period when a puck pulled over the side board found Quinn McCarthy for a breakaway goal.
- The Purple Knights would add two more goals before the end of the second period, and opened a 7-1 lead with three goals to start the final period.
- Thurston finished the scoring with a power-play goal at 12:49 of the third period. Amante sent a pass to Thurston, who skated in from the left side and finished off with a back hand.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- SNHU outshot Saint Michael's 37-28 for the contest.
- The Penmen went 2-for-4 on the power-play, while the Purple Knights were 2-for-6.
- Sophomore Cam Bernard (Bedford, N.H.) saw his first action in relief of starting Penmen goalie graduate student Adam Mercer (Belchertown, Mass.).

- The goal for DiMambro was his the third of his career, and first since 2/4/20 vs. Post.
- Thurston has now scored 23 power-play goals in his 49-game career with the Penmen.
- Saint Michael's leads the all-time series with the Penmen 45-26-6. SNHU won two of the three meetings with the Purple Knights in 2021-22.
