Flushing, N.Y. -- The Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team dropped the regular season finale at Queens College, 6-1, on Sunday afternoon at the QC Tennis Center.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Graduate student Natalie Kallmunzerova (Prague, Czech Republic) earned a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles. She also won her doubles match with Junior Magdalena Hubickova (Prague, Czech Republic) by a score of 6-4.
- Hubickova lost her singles match at No. 2 singles; 7-5, 7-5.
- Senior Alexxa Etienne (Bayamon, Puerto Rico; 6-4, 6-2) and senior Elizabeth Dwyer (Cutchogue, N.Y.; 6-0, 6-2) lost their respective singles matches at No. 3 and No. 6.
- Senior Mina Hodge (Oslo, Norway; 6-1, 6-1) lost at No. 4 singles.
- Sophomore Guntra Upeniece (Riga, Latvia; 6-4, 3-6, 10-5) lost in three sets at No. 5 singles.
- Etienne and Upeniece lost at No. 2 doubles 6-4, while Dwyer and Houge lost their match 6-2.
NOTES
- Kallmunzerova is 20-0 in singles play.
- Queens has won the last seven meetings between the two schools dating back to 2009.
