HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Penmen threatened with a pair of walks in the top of the second inning, but failed to score.

  • A pair of a walks and a two-run single by Bridgeport's Craig Leonard cut the lead to 4-2.  McCloskey worked through the inning to qualify for the win.
  • The score stayed the same until the Penmen pushed a run across in the top of the eighth inning.  Kennedy and Mulcay put together back-to-back doubles to make it 5-2.
  • Bridgeport plated one run in the bottom of the eighth inning, but could not push a run across against Lepard in the last of the ninth.
