Berling Roars into Quarterfinals in Singles Bracket at ITAs

Berling, Torres also move into round of 16, as they start out doubles title defense

FLUSHING, N.Y. – Sophomore Jonathan Berling (Moss, Norway) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team advanced to the round of 16 in both the singles and doubles bracket on day two of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Regional Championship on Friday at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

Berling, who reached the final of the singles bracket as a freshman a year ago, is also off to a good start in his doubles bracket title defense with graduate student Fernando Torres (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico). The duo went 5-0 last year on its run to the ITA East Regional Doubles Championship.
