WGIR to Broadcast 20 Penmen Basketball Games in 2023-24

Games will once again also air on Fox Sports 930 AM

MANCHESTER, N.H. – WGIR-AM, based in Manchester, will broadcast a total of 20 Southern New Hampshire University men's and women's basketball games during the 2023-24 season. For the second straight year, the 11-year relationship between SNHU and WGIR will also include games be carried on Fox Sports 930 WPKX out of Portsmouth. The schedule, which is made up of nine doubleheaders and two single contests, begins with the women's basketball season opener against Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday, Nov. 15 (5:15 p.m.)

"Showcasing our talented basketball programs across the Granite State on WGIR is not something we take for granted. We are excited to extend this partnership and provide another opportunity for our Penmen fans to follow our teams. I would like to thank Joe Graham, Justin McIsaac and everyone working behind the scenes at iHeartMedia for bringing our games to the air."
 
Justin McIsaac will again handle the talent as the lead the play-by-play voice for the broadcasts. McIsaac, who works as WGIR's Assistant Program Director, is the producer of the "New Hampshire Today with Chris Ryan" radio program. McIsaac was recognized as the 2018 and 2019 NH Sportscaster of The Year by the NSMA. He is also the play-by-play announcer and color analyst for a variety of college programs throughout New Hampshire and Maine, including University of New Hampshire football. McIsaac lives in Rochester with his wife, Renee, and children, Cameron and Keeley.
