Sophomore Cade Nadeau (Quispamsis, New Brunswick) won a pair of matches Saturday afternoon, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team rolled to a 6-1 victory over Division-I Colgate University at the YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
  • Nadeau was a 6-1, 6-4 winner at No. 4 singles against Aidan Lee. He also teamed with junior Jesse Den Hartog (Amsterdam, Netherlands) to edge Lee and Max Litton at No. 2 doubles and clinch the point, 6-4.
  • Den Hartog cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 win over Litton at No. 2 to clinch the match.
  • Sophomore Jonathan Berling (Moss, Norway) defeated Jack Selati, 6-2, 7-6 (10-8) at No. 1 singles and also combined with graduate student Fernando Torres (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) for a 6-2 triumph at No. 1 doubles against Selati and Benit Vlassis.
  • Torres took down Vlassis, 6-1, 7-5, at No. 3 singles.
  • Freshman Phillipp Roeder (Augsburg, Germany) downed Tejas Gupta, 7-5, 6-0, at No. 6 singles.
NOTES
  • Southern New Hampshire is 4-1 for the third time in the last four seasons.
  • This was the first all-time meeting between the two teams.

  • The Penmen are back in action Saturday, March 11 (12 p.m.) when they kick off their five-match Florida trip at Florida Southern College.
