Freshman Alina Kupfer (Munich, Germany) and graduate student Verena Weindl (Munich, Germany) battled to three sets, but the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team was handed its first defeat of the season, 7-0, by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on Wednesday morning at the Crotty Tennis Complex.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Kupfer suffered her first loss of the season at No. 2 singles, falling to Maja Issler, 6-3, 3-6, 5-7.
- Weindl was outlasted at No. 4 singles by Jessica Christa Wira Hadipoernomo, 7-6 (7-5), 1-6, 9-11.
- Kupfer and Weindl also nearly scored a win at No. 2 doubles, but came up short, 7-6, to Sabrina Ehrenfort and Carla Cabero del Hierro

- Southern New Hampshire has its 14-match winning streak to start the season snapped.
