  • AIC grabbed single runs back in the fourth and the fifth, but SNHU would erupt for 12 runs in the ninth to put a giant exclamation point on the four-game sweep. The Penmen sent 15 batters to the plate in the 11-hit inning. A two-run double down the left field line by Schwartz and a two-run single through the right side from Chacho made it 8-2, before a Wouters RBI single to right, followed by a run-scoring double to left-center by freshman Kyle Lavigne (Bedford, N.H.), ran the score to 10-2. A Rivera RBI single to left, a La Rocca sacrifice fly to center and an RBI fielder's choice from sophomore Jake Ranney (Wallingford, Conn.) stretched the lead to 13-2, before a two-out, pinch-hit, three-run bomb off the bat of sophomore Harry Vargas Segura (Bronx, N.Y.) put the finishing touches on the explosive frame.
