Skylar Renaud (E. Waterboro, Maine) scored four times, but the 24th-ranked Southern New Hampshire University women's lacrosse team dropped a 13-10 decision against 22nd-ranked Saint Anselm College on Wednesday night at Grappone Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Saint Anselm outscored Southern New Hampshire, 4-0, in the first quarter and then scored the first two goals of the second stanza to open up a 6-0 lead just 1:51 in.
- SNHU responded by scoring four of the next five, including a pair from Renaud, to trim its deficit to 7-4 with 3:36 left before the half. The Hawks would score with 1:46 on the clock and bring an 8-4 advantage into the break.
- Renaud opened the second-half scoring 1:50 in to trigger a 3-0 run that pulled the Penmen within 8-7 with 4:32 to go in the third, but Saint Anselm would run off three straight of its own to lead, 11-7, going to the final frame.
- After the Hawks scored the first two to open a six-goal lead, SNHU scored three-in-a-row, including two from Graziano, to get back within 13-10 with 3:35 left. Saint Anselm won the ensuing draw control and never gave the ball back.

- Junior goalkeeper Megan Petko (Monroe, N.Y.) made two saves over the opening 18:58, while freshman Megan Mollman (Chester, Md.) stopped eight of the 15 shots she saw in the final 41:02.
- Saint Anselm goalie Elizabeth Driscoll recorded 13 saves.
- Senior Courtney Cronin (Woburn, Mass.), junior Alexis DeLucia (Uncasville, Conn.) and sophomore Rachel McLaughlin (Woburn, Mass.) also scored goals for the Penmen.
- SNHU outshot Saint Anselm, 30-27, including 20-14 in the middle two periods.
- The Hawks owned a 17-10 advantage in draw controls, while the Penmen held a 12-10 edge in ground balls.
- Saint Anselm went 3-for-5 on its free-position shots, while Southern New Hampshire was 2-for-5.
- Both teams were 14-for-16 on clear attempts.

- SNHU, which is ranked 24th in the latest ILWomen/Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II Poll, is 6-2 for the first time since 2007.
- Saint Anselm, ranked 22nd, leads the all-time series with SNHU, 12-8, and has captured 10 of the last 12 meetings.
