Cam Caraher (Plymouth, Mass.) hit a pair of home runs, including a three-run, walk-off bomb in the bottom of the ninth to lead the 23rd-ranked Southern New Hampshire University baseball team to a 9-6 victory against Bentley University on Friday afternoon in the opener of a four-game set at Penmen Field.

KEY MOMENTS
- Southern New Hampshire scored first in the bottom of the first when Rivera beat out an infield single, stole second and scored on a base hit up the middle by Risedorf.
- Bentley scored three in the second on a pair of bases-loaded walks and an RBI single from Liam Sears.
- SNHU pulled even in the home half, with Wouters and redshirt-junior Cristian Mercedes (Providence, R.I.) leading off with singles and scoring two batters later on Rivera's double to the gap in right-center.
- With runners at the corners and two out in the third, freshman Jake Pisano (Hamden, Conn.) attempted to steal second and then was able to get caught in a run-down long enough for Caraher to score from third to give the Penmen a 4-3 edge.
- A sacrifice fly from junior Nick Schwartz (Massapequa, N.Y.) in the fifth and Caraher's two-out solo shot in the seventh stretched the Southern New Hampshire advantage to 6-3.
- Bentley scored a pair in the eighth against the SNHU bullpen, with Steve Rizzuto's two-run homer to left-center pulling the Falcons within 6-5.
- Stan DeMartinis' two-out RBI single up the middle knotted the game at 6-all in the ninth.
- After LaRocca led off the home half with a double to the wall in center, Schwartz was intentionally walked before Caraher hit an absolute no-doubter over the fence in right to give the Penmen the win.

- Junior Trevor Anibal (Bedford, N.H.) blew the save in the top of the ninth, but recorded his second win (2-1). He allowed three runs on four hits, while punching out a pair and walking one, over two innings.

- Southern New Hampshire, ranked 23rd in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Top 25 and receiving votes in the Collegiate Baseball Division II Poll, has now won 15-in-a-row.
- Bentley leads the all-time series with SNHU, 41-36, but the Penmen have won eight of 10, including six straight.
- The home runs for Caraher were his fourth and fifth of the season, as well as the 12th and 13th of his career.
- Risedorf, who is hitting .333 (10-30) with 10 RBI and nine runs scored in 19 games this season, is 7-for-16 (.438) with four RBI and five runs scored in his four starts this season. He is currently 5-for-his-last 7 with a home run, four RBI and two runs scored.
- Schwartz continues to lead the NE10 in hitting (.429) and RBI (41), while tying for sixth in home runs (6).
