KEY MOMENTS – GAME 1
- Southern New Hampshire struck three times in the bottom of the first, scoring the first two on a two-run double to right-center by Schwartz, before making it 3-0 when freshman Jake Pisano (Hamden, Conn.) reached on a throwing error by the pitcher and Schwartz scored.
- An RBI groundout by La Rocca in the second nudged the score to 4-0.
- La Rocca's two-out, two-run jack to center extended the Penmen advantage to 6-0 in the fourth.
- SNHU made it 8-0 in the sixth when Moreno hit a triple to right and scored when the relay throw to third was errant.
- Caraher led off the seventh with a solo shot to dead center to make it a 9-0 game.
- The Penmen hung a four-spot in the eighth, started by an RBI single from Schwartz. Caraher was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Pisano reached on an RBI fielder's choice, before a two-out error allowed another run to score.

- Moreno went 2-for-3 with an RBI, three runs scored, a pair of walks and a triple.
- La Rocca (three RBI, two runs, home run) and Rivera (three runs, walk, five steals) each were 2-for-4.
- Schwartz finished 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs scored and a double.
- Caraher was 1-for-2 with two RBI, a run, a home run and a pair of walks.
- Freshman Jake Risedorf (Barkhamsted, Conn.) struck out one and walked a batter in a hitless ninth.
- Wouters went 1-for-4 with a run and a walk.
KEY MOMENTS – GAME 2
- Southern New Hampshire again jumped out to a 3-0, first-inning lead. Moreno walked in front of La Rocca, who belted a two-run homer over the visiting bullpen in right, while later adding an unearned run when Franklin Pierce attempted to turn a double play and the throw to first got away.
- SNHU posted eight in the second to break it open. The inning was highlighted by a grand slam from Schwartz and a two-run double by redshirt-junior Cristian Mercedes (Providence, R.I.).
- An RBI fielder's choice by La Rocca in the third brought the score to 12-0.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE – GAME 2
- Schwartz (four RBI, two runs, home run, walk), La Rocca (four RBI, two runs, home run), Rivera (two runs, walk) and Caraher (run) were all 1-for-2.
- Wouters (RBI, run) and freshman Kyle Lavigne (Bedford, N.H.) both went 1-for-1.
- Mercedes was 1-for-3 with a pair of RBI, a run scored and a double.
- Anderson went 0-for-1, but walked and scored a run.
- Pisano and sophomore Harry Vargas Segura (Bronx, N.Y.) were both 0-for-2 with a walk and a run.
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire, ranked 11th in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Top 25 and 23rd in the Collegiate Baseball Division II Poll, extends the program's record winning streak and nation's longest current winning streak to 24 consecutive games.
- SNHU clinches the NE10 Northeast Division for the sixth straight season (no division crown was awarded in 2020) and the seventh time, overall.
- Southern New Hampshire now leads the all-time series with Franklin Pierce, 53-43-1, and has won 21 of the last 24 meetings with the Ravens, including 12 of 15 at home.
- SNHU has scored first in 23 of the 24 games during the winning streak, including the last 19-in-a-row. The Penmen have also scored in the first inning in nine of their last 12.
- La Rocca, who has now homered in three of the last four games, has nine on the season and 17 for his career.
- Caraher also has nine long-balls on the season and 17 in his career.
- Schwartz' grand slam was his ninth home run of the season and 18th of his career.
- Schwartz continues to lead the NE10 in hitting (.428) and RBI (58), while tying for fourth in home runs (9).
- Rivera has hit safely in 26 of his last 27, including 19 straight. He has 11 multi-hit games during his current streak.
- La Rocca has a hit in 16 of his last 18, including five straight.
- Mercedes saw his hitting streak snapped at 11 games.
- The Penmen continue to produce at the plate, having scored 428 runs in 43 games (10.0). That effort already ranks third in the program's single-season record book. The top mark is 494 runs (2016).
