Cam Caraher (Plymouth, Mass.) homered twice and sophomore
Frankie Sanchez (South Brunswick, N.J.) allowed two runs in six innings as #11/21 SNHU rolled past Molloy 13-3 Saturday to earn a split of the non-conference doubleheader.

GAME 1
- The Penmen opened a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Caraher and O'Sullivan had RBI singles.
- The Lions tied the score in the fourth, and moved ahead with a four-run fifth inning, chasing graduate student Josh Roberge (Chelmsford, Mass.).
- Molloy extended the lead to 9-2 before SNHU scored in the ninth on a home run by O'Sullivan, his second of the season.
GAME 2
- Molloy took an early 1-0 lead, scoring in the bottom of the first inning.
- Moreno hit a two-run homer, Caraher hit a solo shot, and O'Sullivan doubled home a fourth run to put the Penmen up 4-1 in the top of the third inning.
- Mercedes homered in the fourth to make it 5-1.
- Molloy picked up a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth to close to 5-3.
- SNHU scored four runs in the seventh and ninth innings.
- In the seventh, junior Nick Schwartz (Massapequa, N.Y.) doubled home Moreno and Caraher followed with a two-run shot. Rivera added a bases loaded walk.
- In the ninth, sophomore Harry Vargas Segura (Bronx, N.Y.) had an RBI single and Rivera hit a three-run homer.
- Sanchez had his third consecutive quality start working the first six innings.
- Junior Brandon White (Simsbury, Conn.), junior George Welch (Derry, N.H.), and junior Trevor Anibal (Bedford, N.H.) each threw a scoreless inning in relief.
NOTES
- SNHU is now 11-12 all-time against Molloy College. The Penmen have defeated the Lions in the NCAA East Super Regional Championship Series each of the past two seasons.
- During the 37-10 regular season, the Penmen outscored its opponents 460-179. The most runs scored in program history in a season is 494 (2016).
- Southern New Hampshire is ranked 11th in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Top 25 and 21st in the Collegiate Baseball Division II Poll. Molloy received votes in the Collegiate Baseball Poll.
- Caraher has homered nine times in his last 14 games, has an eight-game hit streak, and has at least one hit in 13 of his last 14 games. His 12 homers lead the Penmen, and are tied for most in the NE10.
- Rivera has hit safely in 30 of his last 31, including 23 straight. He has 13 multi-hit games during his streak.  He also leads the NE10 with 46 stolen bases
- The five homers in the second game of the doubleheader matched a season-high for the Penmen.
- Schwartz continues to lead the NE10 in hitting (.411) and RBI (62).
- Rivera has hit safely in 28 of his last 29, including 23 straight. He has 13 multi-hit games during his current streak.  He also leads the NE10 with 46 stolen bases.
- Roberge (L, 7-4) saw a streak of four consecutive quality starts snapped in the opener.

- The Penmen will open play in the Northeast-10 tournament at home on Tuesday, May 9 at 3:30 p.m. SNHU is the two-time defending NE10 Tournament champion.
