FLUSHING, N.Y. – Junior Jonathan Berling (Moss, Norway), senior Jesse Den Hartog (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) and sophomore Melvin Vix (Thionville, France) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team all advanced to the quarterfinal round in the singles bracket on the second day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Regional Championship on Saturday at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
Berling and Vix also moved on to the semifinals in the doubles bracket, and were joined by Den Hartog and junior Cade Nadeau (Quispamsis, New Brunswick).
Berling is the ITA East Regional Championship defending singles champion and two-time defending doubles champion.
