Sophomore Georgia Greene (Clifton Park, N.Y.) scored just 1:56 into the second half to tie the game, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday night at Ouellette Stadium.

KEY MOMENTS 
  • Franklin Pierce scored the first goal of the contest late in the 38th minute when Johanne Guldbaek Pederson collected a pass from Jenni Huttunen, took a few touches and ripped a long shot that sailed into the right corner of the net.
  • Southern New Hampshire evened it just 1:59 into the second half when Noon sent in a low pass from the right side of the box to the foot of Greene, who popped the ball inside the left post.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE 
  • Franklin Pierce goalkeeper Emilie Fox stopped seven of the eight shots she faced.
  • FPU edged SNHU in shots, 7-6, including 5-3 in the second half.
  • The Penmen held a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks.
NOTES 
  • Southern New Hampshire, is 0-1-3 over its last four, following a 3-0-0 start to the season.
  • Franklin Pierce leads the all-time series, 28-12-2, while the last 15 meetings are even at 7-7-1. The teams have also split the last nine matches at SNHU (4-4-1). It is just the second ever tie in 42 meetings between the two teams and the first since Oct. 6, 1989 (0-0).
  • Greene's goal is her second of the season – and second in as many matches – and the fourth of her career.
