Lynch Records Power-Play Goal for SNHU

Sophomore Brendan Lynch (Nepean, Ont.) converted a power-play goal for SNHU, but the Penmen dropped the final non-conference game of the season at Colby College Tuesday night.

KEY MOMENTS
 
  • The Penmen trailed 5-0 late in the second period when they secured a man advantage.
  • Amante found Pomposelli open for a shot from the left circle that Lynch re-directed in front for the goal.
  • The Mules would tack on four goals in the final period. 
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • The goal for Lynch was his fifth of the season, and first since November 21 against Westfield State.
  • James Tepper recorded a hat trick for the Mules, scoring his final goal at 16:19 of the third period. 
  • Nick Stapleton had a pair of third-period goals for Colby.
  • The winning goalie was Andy Beran, who made 27 saves playing most of the game.
  • Freshman Sean Guerin (Chicago, Ill.) started in goal for the Penmen and gave way to junior Cam Bernard (Bedford, N.H.) in the third period.
  • Colby had a 39-29 shot advantage for the contest.
  • Both teams went 1-for-5 on the power play.
NOTES
  • The contest marked just the second meeting between SNHU and Colby.  The Mules defeated the Penmen 2-1 on November 26, 2019, in Waterville, Maine.
