Hockey Splits With Saint Michael's After Falling 4-1 Saturday

Murray Tallies For Third Straight Game for Penmen

Sophomore Tyler Murray (Barre, Vt.) scored his third goal in the last three games, but SNHU fell 4-1 at Saint Michael's College Saturday as the teams split the weekend set.

KEY MOMENTS
  • The game was a mirror image of Friday's series opener in which the Penmen opened up a 4-0 lead, and won 4-1.
  • On Saturday, Saint Michael's took a 4-0 lead thanks to a pair of power-play goals before Murray lit the lamp at 9:18 of the final period.
  • Murray was in a good position to tip Amante's slap shot into the net.   
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • The Penmen had a 41-37 shot advantage.
  • The Penmen were 0-for-2 on the power play and the Purple Knights were 2-for-5.
  • Freshman Sean Guerin (Chicago, Ill.) made 33 saves for the Penmen.
  • Cole Manahan had 40 saves in the winning effort in net for Saint Michael's.
NOTES
  • Murray's first three career goals have come in the past three games.
  • Saint Michael's leads the all-time series 53-28-7 and won the season series with SNHU three-games-to-one.
