Freshman Lois Tsui (Amsterdam, Netherlands) won both of her matches, but the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team dropped a crucial contest at Assumption University, 5-2, Saturday afternoon at the Assumption Tennis Courts.

- Sophomore Nadya Lyekontseva (Kyiv, Ukraine) was outlasted at No. 5 singles by Madison Ericson, 7-6 (7-5), 4-6, 6-2.
- Southern New Hampshire had won two-in-a-row.
- The loss removes the possibility of SNHU earning a first-round bye in the upcoming NE10 Championship. The Penmen are now locked into either the No. 3 or No. 4 seed and will host a first-round match Wednesday, Oct. 16.
- The Penmen lead the all-time series with Assumption, 18-6, and had won 18 of the last 19 meetings, including five-in-a-row, versus the Greyhounds.
