Jack Gray (Lowell, Mass.) tied the game with 2:30 to play in the third period, but Keene State prevailed 3-2 in overtime over the Penmen in a non-conference game Tuesday night.

KEY MOMENTS
- John Belisle gave the Owls a 1-0 lead with a short-handed goal at 10:35 of the first period.
- Keene State took a 2-0 lead early in the second period when Sean McBride's long pass found Filip Tjarnhell in front for a slap shot that beat sophomore Sean Guerin (Chicago, Ill.).
- The Penmen scored with a man-up with 5:54 to play in the second period as Pomposelli drilled a blast off a pass from junior Kurt Watson (London, Ont.).
- Gray tied the game for the Penmen with 2:30 to play in the third period. Junior Tyler Murray (Barre, Vt.) passed to graduate student Derek Flynn (Dracut, Mass). Flynn found Gray open for the tying goal.
- The game-winning goal came 30 seconds into overtime and was scored by Sean McBride.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- SNHU outshot Keene State 35-21. Owl freshman goalie Artur Dzhilavyan stopped 33, while Guerin got in front of 19 shots.
- The Penmen went 1-for-4 on the power play and the Owls were 0-for-2.
- Keene State blocked 16 shot attempts, while SNHU blocked nine.
NOTES
- Keene State restarted its hockey programs for the 2024-25 season.
- This is the first Keene State victory over SNHU – the Penmen had won the four meetings in games played in 1984 and 1985.
- The teams are scheduled to meet again on Tuesday, February 4 at Keene Ice.
