 KEY MOMENTS

  • Christis found the net with a chip from the left side at 8:19 to play in the first quarter and put the Penmen up 1-0.
  • SNHU would hold the lead for the next 36:24, a stretch that would see Peeters make 10 saves without allowing a tying score.
  • Kutztown tied the game following a penalty corner with 1:55 to play in the third quarter.  On the back side of the play, Sierra Jester received a pass from Juliana Donato.
  • The game-winner was a penalty shot by Donato, awarded after some bumping in the box 2:19 into the second overtime.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Kutztown had nine penalty corners in the first 15 minutes, an 11-0 advantage by halftime, and 18-0 for the game.
  • Peeters made seven first-quarter saves and added seven more including a nice kick save with 4:21 to play in the first overtime on a shot by Grace Harrold.
  • The Golden Bears had a 27-2 shot advantage for the game including 16-2 on goal.

NOTES
  • Kutztown improves to 3-0 all-time against the Penmen.  The Golden Bears won 5-2 on Larkin Field on September 14.  At the time, the defending national champions were ranked #1 in the country.

  • The Penmen were ranked sixth in the nation in the final NFHCA poll of the regular season.  Kutztown was ranked third.
  • Christis finishes the season leading the nation with 30 goals, doubling the previous SNHU mark of 15 in a season.  She completes her career as the all-time leading scorer in program history.
  • Peeters was in goal for 16 wins this season and 31 for career – both marks rank second in program history to Melanie Rennie (2016-2019).
UP NEXT
