HOW IT HAPPENED
- Southern New Hampshire scored the game's first three goals over the opening 8:57, with Hadden having a hand in all three (1g, 2a). SNHU exited the first quarter with a 5-2 advantage.
- After Franklin Pierce scored the first two markers of the second quarter to pull within one, the Penmen netted the final three, including two from Cole, to open an 8-4 lead at the break.
- A back-and-fourth third quarter led to the same four-goal margin, with SNHU leading, 13-9.
- The Ravens climbed within 15-12 with 5:01 to go in the final frame, but three goals over the last 2:35 sealed it for SNHU. Renaud scored a pair of free-position goals during the stretch and assisted on a Graziano exclamation point with 1:08 to go.
