#10 Women's Soccer Remains Unbeaten with 3-1 Win Over Wilmington (Del.)

Senior Ava Jakich-Kunze (Moscow, Idaho) scored a pair of goals to lead the 10th-ranked Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Wilmington (Del.) University in non-conference action Friday night at Mark A. Ouellette Stadium.

KEY MOMENTS
  • SNHU took a 1-0 lead midway through the 24th minute when Anderson scored on a rebound of her own shot at the left post.
  • The Penmen extended the lead to make it 2-0 late in the 29th minute when Jakich-Kunze cashed in a long feed from the far right side from junior Imogen Noon (Gold Coast, Australia).
  • Wilmington would trim its deficit to 2-1 in the 34th minute on a goal by Alyssa Ruggeri.
  • SNHU widened its advantage to 3-1 in the 64th minute. Noon crossed the ball to the far left post for Anderson, who quickly tapped the ball to junior Georgia Greene (Clifton Park, N.Y.). Jakich-Kunze took the pass from Greene for her second goal of the match.
