KEY MOMENTS
- The Penmen took advantage of one of the first penalty corners of the contest with Hendriks scoring off a pass from Wiersma 2:00 into the contest.
- Hendriks gave SNHU a 2-0 lead with 10 seconds left in the half when she knocked in a loose ball.
- The Penmen extended the lead to 3-0 just 47 seconds into the third quarter on a goal by van de Poll. She was able to knock in a rebound for her second goal of the season.
- Christis scored the first of her goals at 36:58 with a backhander that found the left side of the cage.
- Christis also scored in the contest after senior Eliza Bates (Newport, N.H.) was able to gain control in the Purple Knights end and Christis cleaned up the loose ball with a one-timer.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Penmen had a 44-5 shot advantage including a 35-3 edge shots on goal.
- Peeters, named the NE10 Goalie of the Week Monday, made two saves.
- Saint Michael's goalie Joelle Cameron had 26 saves.
- SNHU took 22 penalty corners to four for the Purple Knights.
NOTES
- Christis was named the Player of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference earlier in the day. Her eight-season goals lead the conference.
- Christis started this season as the program's all-time leader with 26 assists, but she has not assisted on a goal this season. With 16 points (on eight goals), Christis moves to within one career point (88) of Laura van der Doorn's program record (89).
- The multi-goal game for Hendriks was the first of her career.
- The Penmen lead the all-time series with the Purple Knights 11-6 including wins in four of the last five matches. The teams had split the two meetings in 2023.
- The two teams will meet each other again on October 1 on Larkin Field for a conference match.
