NE10 Regular Season Champion Saint Anselm completed a weekend sweep of SNHU Ice Hockey with a 4-2 win Saturday night. The Penmen earned the #3 seed in the upcoming Northeast-10 Championship and will host #6 Franklin Pierce University Tuesday in the NE10 Quarterfinals.

KEY MOMENTS
- Saint Anselm connected at 4:29 of the first period to take a 1-0 lead on a goal by Patrick Demarinis.
- Second period goals by Justin Tremglay and Max Burum put the Hawks up 3-0.
- SNHU's goal by Pomposelli came at 9:12 of the third period. Off a face-off win, Kayser sent the puck to Marchant on the left side. His cross-ice pass to Pomposelli led to the goal.
- The Hawks answered just 36 seconds later to go up 4-1 when Hunter Brackett scored.
- The Penmen answered back on a goal by Devlin at 10:26 off a pass from Phillips
- SNHU survived a Hawk 5-on-3 advantage without allowing a goal for a stretch of the final minutes, and created a 6-on-4 with a pulled goalie late, but could not close the gap.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Each team had 41 shots on goal.
- SNHU wsa 0-for-4 on the power play while Saint Anselm was 0-for-3.
- SNHU had a 35-31 face-off advantage and had more blocked shots, 18-12.
NOTES
- The Penmen finish in third place in the Northeast-10 standings. Saint Anselm earned the top-seed with Saint Michael's second - both teams earned byes.
- #3 SNHU will host #6 Franklin Pierce on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. with the winner heading to Saint Michael's next Saturday (Feb. 22) at 3 p.m.
- Saint Anselm won the season series with the Penmen 3-0-1 and lead the all-time series 46-13-3.
- Pomposelli's eight goals are second on the team, only trailing junior Kurt Watson (London, Ont.), who had nine.
- Devlin had a good season against Saint Anselm with two goals and two assists against the Hawks in four games.
- Guerin made the start in net for SNHU, recording 37 saves.
