Junior Lauren Fox (Yonkers, N.Y.) scored her fourth goal of the season to give the Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team an early lead, but American International College rallied for a 3-1 victory in Northeast 10 Conference action Saturday afternoon at Ronald J. Abdow Field.
KEY MOMENTS
- Fox gave the Penmen an early lead at 11:33, heading home a long feed from freshman Madison Taylor (Weymouth, Mass.) for her fourth goal of the season.
- AIC pulled even at 35:56 when Yishmel Dechi scored off an assist from Nicole Kelly, sending the teams into halftime tied 1-1.
- The Yellow Jackets took the lead at 63:12 on a penalty kick by Elena Nunez before Flavia Taveri added another penalty kick at 68:40 to account for the final margin.

- Fox's fourth goal of the season moves her into a tie for second on the team with fifth year Mollie Cahalane (Merrimac, Mass.). Senior Avary Hall (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) leads the Penmen with five goals.

- SNHU held a 10-5 advantage in shots during the opening half and finished with a 14-12 edge for the match.

- Senior Isabel Hughes (Phoenix, Ariz.) made three saves in goal for SNHU.
- The Penmen and Yellow Jackets each earned two corner kicks.
- The loss snapped SNHU's five-match unbeaten streak against American International. The Penmen continue to lead the all-time series, 22-11-4.
