Women's Lacrosse Absorbs NE10 Quarterfinal Loss at #14 Pace

Senior Brynn Goulet (Tyngsboro, Mass.), redshirt-freshman Piper Knowlton (Chester, N.H.) and junior Natalie Bosselman (Falmouth, Mass.) all scored goals, but the seventh-seeded Southern New Hampshire University women's lacrosse team suffered a 19-3 loss to 14th-ranked and second-seeded Pace University on Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the NE10 Championship at Northwell Stadium.

KEY MOMENTS
  • Bosselman opened the second quarter with a goal off a Goulet feed to pull Southern New Hampshire within 4-2 just 57 seconds in. From there, however, Pace reeled off 15 consecutive goals to go up, 19-2, with 6:11 remaining in the contest.
NOTES
  • Southern New Hampshire ends the season dropping five of its last six.
  • SNHU dips to 5-13 (.278) all-time in its 13th appearance in the NE10 Championship, including 0-3 against Pace. This marks the third time in the last four years the Penmen have had their season ended with a quarterfinal loss at Pace.
  • Goulet notched a goal and an assist.
  • Sophomore Corrina Moulton (Barre, Vt.) stopped 13 of the 29 shots she faced in the initial 47:43 of action. Junior Nicole Mirra (Cicero, N.Y.) did not record a save over the final 12:17.
  • Pace leads the all-time series, 11-2, as it has now won 11-in-a-row over the Penmen, including a 15-8 regular-season home win back on March 31. The Setters have also captured seven straight at home in the series. The last SNHU victory came in a 14-10 road win March 19, 2016.
  • Pace outshot SNHU, 43-13, including 30-5in shots on target.
  • The Setters held advantages in ground balls (20-14) and draw controls (19-5).
